↩️Despawning

If a required block is destroyed, the house will no longer be valid and the NPC will immediately move out. Fixing the house before the NPC is despawned will cause it to move back in, or if another house is available, it will move into that one instead.

If NPC despawns, the NPC will be added to the queue list for spawning NPCs (as long as requirements for that NPC are met)
